Visual Art Workshops for Children
In this class, students draw/paint one of three nature images of British Columbia that are provided (e.g., eagle, otter, or moon & landscape). They're welcome to choose one of the three images they like best for this class.
Children learn to:
- improve their observation skills through discussions of elements in photos
- discern shapes in the photograph and improve their ability to replicate it onto a specific-sized page
- consider colour choices (either realistic as seen in the image, or using their preferred colours.)
- increase their confidence in replicating a photographic image into a piece of Art (Photos are posted with parental permission)
